Lusha vs Lockley: which suits UK B2B prospecting?

Lusha reveals contact details through a credit-based extension and service. Lockley picks UK companies worth calling and shows the public record why. One finds a person, the other a reason.

Written from Lockley's index and the sources below, updated 10 October 2026.

Lusha and Lockley sit at different points in prospecting. Lusha is a contact-data tool: you find a person, often from LinkedIn or a company website through its Chrome extension, and reveal their details using credits. Lockley is a prospect-selection service: it reads UK public records every night and gives a small team a short list of companies to call each morning, each with the record that says why now.

If you already have a list of people and need their details, Lusha is the closer fit. If your problem is deciding which UK companies deserve a call this week, Lockley is. This page compares them using each company's own description and published reviews. Confirm current details with each vendor.

What Lusha does well

Lusha is quick to start. The Chrome extension lets a seller reveal contact information while looking at a LinkedIn profile or a company website, and reviews describe a free tier that lets you try it. For a salesperson who already has names, that is a short path to an email or phone number.

The trade-off is cost predictability. Reviews describe credits being spent at different rates for emails and phone numbers, and the sources we found disagree on exact allowances and prices. Check the pricing page and run a small test on UK contacts before committing.

What Lockley does well

Lockley reads Companies House, Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, Adzuna job postings, planning registers and each company's website every night. The output is a short list of companies, not a database. Each carries the dated public record behind it, so a seller can open the source and check it before calling. The 9am email brief puts the top three companies in full, and Call, Tomorrow and Pass work from the email.

Lockley does not provide contact lists or bulk email data and does not send email for you, so it does not replace a tool for finding someone's number.

Who each suits

Lusha suits an individual seller or small team that finds prospects on LinkedIn and wants contact details at low cost to try. Lockley suits a small UK B2B team that lacks a clear answer to 'who should we call this morning, and what do we say first', and wants a reason it can verify.

Used together, Lockley can supply the company and the reason, and a contact tool can help reach the person, subject to the data protection rules that apply to your outreach.
