Kaspr vs Lockley: which suits a small UK B2B sales team?

Kaspr finds contact details for people you have already chosen on LinkedIn; Lockley chooses the companies, each with the public record that says why to call now. They solve different problems.

Written from Lockley's index and the sources below, updated 10 October 2026.

Kaspr and Lockley answer different questions. Kaspr is a Chrome extension that pulls phone numbers and email addresses from LinkedIn profiles, so it helps once you already know who you want to reach. Lockley decides which UK companies are worth calling today and shows the public record behind each one. If your problem is a lack of contact details, look at Kaspr. If your problem is not knowing who to call this morning, look at Lockley. Some teams will want both.

What Kaspr does

Kaspr is described by independent reviewers as a Chrome extension that reveals emails and phone numbers on LinkedIn profiles, charged through a credit system in which a phone reveal and an email reveal each use a credit. It is aimed at sellers and recruiters who spend their day on LinkedIn and want to move from a profile to a direct number or email quickly.

Reviewers also note its limits: credits run out, phone coverage is incomplete and some data is out of date. It does not send messages or manage follow-ups. Kaspr describes itself as GDPR and CCPA aligned, and its own comparison material is worth reading if compliance matters to your team. Public pricing is reported inconsistently across review sites, with per-user monthly plans starting somewhere between roughly €30 and €49, so check Kaspr's pricing page rather than relying on a third party.

What Lockley does

Lockley is a UK sales-research service. Each morning it gives a small B2B sales team a short list of companies to call, each with the public record that says why now. It reads public registers and postings every night: Companies House (officers, charges and filings), Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, job postings from Adzuna, planning registers, and each company's own website.

Every finding links to the record it came from, so a seller can check it before calling. A 9am email brief carries the morning's top three companies in full, with Call, Tomorrow and Pass working from the email. It starts with a free scan of your own website, which builds a private page of companies worth calling for you.

The difference that matters

Kaspr starts from a person. Lockley starts from a company and a reason. A LinkedIn profile does not tell you that a company has just registered a new charge, opened a new site or seen a public contract come to an end. A public record does, and it also does not tell you a mobile number.

Lockley does not sell contact lists or bulk email data, and it does not send email on your behalf. That is a deliberate limit, and it means Lockley is not a replacement for a contact-finding tool if you need direct dials. What it replaces is the hour of guessing which accounts to open first.

Who should choose which

Choose Kaspr if you already have a target list, live in LinkedIn and need to reach named individuals by phone or email. Choose Lockley if you have no clear list for tomorrow morning, want to ring companies with a verifiable reason, or sell into UK firms whose changes show up in Companies House, tenders, job postings or planning records.

A common pattern for a small team is to use Lockley to choose the five or ten companies, then use whatever contact route the team already trusts to reach the right person. The two are complementary rather than rival.

Questions

Is Lockley an alternative to Kaspr?

Only in part. Both help a seller prepare to call, but Kaspr supplies contact details for chosen people and Lockley supplies the companies and the reason to call. Lockley does not provide phone numbers.

Does Kaspr show why a company is worth calling?

Not from its own description. It reveals contact data on LinkedIn profiles; the reason to call comes from elsewhere.

Does Lockley sell email addresses?

No. Lockley does not sell contact lists or bulk email data.

How much does Lockley cost compared with Kaspr?

Lockley's Core plan is £499 a month, with the first month £249, excluding VAT. Kaspr's per-user pricing is reported differently by different reviewers, so confirm it on Kaspr's site.

Can I try Lockley before paying?
